In my piercing portfolio you will find some pics of the piercings I've carried out over the years (there would be far more but I'm prone to losing my memory cards- they're littered about the house somewhere...). Insofar I have performed Microdermal piercings, Facial Piercings, Surface (Madison) bar piercings, Nipples and Genital Piercings  (which can't be shown here for obvious reasons!) and more besides.

I ONLY pierce with Titanium, the reason being that there are a lot of people out there with an increasing allergy to the nickel found in steel. Titanium is also great for the healing process as it's non allergenic.

I don't pierce with rings/BCR's, as contrary to popular belief these don't heal as quickly as piercings completed with barbell jewellery. The reason for this is that the rings tend to rotate more freely and so can introduce bacteria and dirt into the piercing.

When performing Microdermal implants I will use a biopsy punch, on non-stretched skin. When the implant is inserted I then rotate the implant to rid it of any possible sinew etc that may be attached and may hinder the healing process. The microdermal is then cleaned with sterile saline solution and covered up with a Mepore sterile plaster, which not only helps prevent it from catching if a healing pin is used, but helps keep the piercing flush with the skin as it's healing and helps prevent rejection. I use 2.5mm Microdermals and am progressing to slightly larger dermals as and when the mood takes me.

I'm always looking for other piercers to share knowledge with as I believe that in this industry you can never be too well informed- you are introducing a foreign object into people's bodies after all.
